Atmospheric Spa Entry

Bespoke sculptural installation developed to shape the arrival experience within the spa entry sequence.

Capella Hotel — Sydney

Context

The spa entry called for a quiet architectural focal point that would establish atmosphere from the moment of arrival.

Rather than introducing artwork after completion, the installation was developed in response to the surrounding architecture, allowing proportion, material and light to guide the outcome.

Geometric Integration

The composition responds directly to the proportions of the reception wall, creating rhythm through balance, repetition and restraint.

Every line was considered in relation to the architecture so the work reads as part of the space rather than an applied feature.

Material Resolution

Hand-finished surfaces introduce subtle texture that shifts with changing light throughout the day.

Small variations remain intentionally visible, allowing the work to feel tactile, quiet and considered.

Spatial Presence

The installation contributes to the atmosphere of the space through quiet presence rather than visual emphasis.

Integrated within the material palette and architectural language, it creates a calm arrival experience that unfolds gradually over time.
